AllerGen investigator among Manitoba’s “Future 40”

cbc-manitoba-futureDr. Meghan Azad has been named one of 40 awardees in CBC Manitoba’s “Future 40” contest for 2016, which celebrates “Manitoba’s new generation of leaders, builders and change-makers under the age of 40.” Dr. Azad was selected from among over 140 nominees for her many accomplishments in health research, some of which are noted in her Future 40 profile.

Dr. Azad is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics & Child Health and Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba and a Research Scientist with the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba. She is former trainee and current Investigator in AllerGen, and an Associate Investigator of the CHILD Study

CBC Manitoba’s “Future 40” invites nominations from the public, from which finalists are selected by a panel of judges. This year’s winners were honoured at a ceremony held on April 7, 2016, and are profiled on CBC media.
